The Keswick Lad is a professional press photographer based in Nottingham, England. He has supplied pictures to national newspaper, magazines & television companies for over 20 years. He has won several awards including Sports Photographer of the Year at the British Press Awards.
He is also a member of the photographic board of the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ). This involves overseeing training, examinations and qualifications throughout the UK.
The Keswick Lad was born in a small town in the Lake District, a national park in the north west of England. He attended the local schools before moving away to college in Middlesbrough and Sheffield. A friend on his local cricket team introduced him to journalism and he became a press photographer. After training with Cumbrian Newspapers Group at their Workington office he moved to Nottingham in the mid 1980′s.
After working for two of the biggest news agencies in the UK he started his own business and has been commissioned for work all over the world.
Away from work the Keswick Lad is a keen sportsman with a love of football, cricket and golf.
